TREC Licensed Home Inspector
You will perform residential inspections across the metroplex, walk clients through what you found at the end of every inspection, and deliver a clear, photo-supported report the same day. Most of our work is buyer inspections, new construction phase inspections, and 11-month builder warranty inspections.
What we are looking for
- An active TREC Professional Inspector or Real Estate Inspector license. If you hold a Real Estate Inspector license, we can discuss sponsorship
- Comfort working to the TREC Standards of Practice, and the judgment to explain a finding without alarming a client
- Willingness to get into attics and crawlspaces in Texas heat, and to climb a roof when it is safe to do so
- Strong written communication. The report is the product
- Reliable vehicle, valid driver license, and your own inspection tools
- InterNACHI certification and Spectora experience are a plus, not a requirement
Nice to have: experience with sewer scopes, thermal imaging, pool and spa, or irrigation inspections. We will train the right person on our ancillary services.
You are the first person a client or real estate agent talks to. You answer the phone, respond to inquiries quickly, schedule inspections, and keep the calendar and our inspectors organized. In this business the company that answers first usually gets the job, so responsiveness matters more than almost anything else.
What the day looks like
- Answering calls and texts from buyers, sellers, and agents, and booking them in
- Scheduling and confirming inspections, and coordinating routes and timing with inspectors
- Following up on quote requests and inquiries that have not booked yet
- Sending reports and agreements, and making sure nothing falls through
- Keeping client records accurate in our scheduling software and CRM
What we are looking for
- Genuinely good on the phone. Warm, clear, and unflustered when someone is stressed about a purchase
- Organized enough to hold several moving appointments in your head at once
- Comfortable with scheduling software, email, and basic spreadsheets. We will train you on our systems
- Real estate, title, property management, or front desk experience is a plus
This is a hands-on internship for a student or early-career marketer who wants real work rather than busywork. You will help us reach home buyers and real estate agents across DFW, and you will see the results of what you do.
What you would work on
- Social content: short videos and photos from real inspections, notable finds, seasonal home tips
- Helping build our real estate agent outreach, including our Agent of the Week feature
- Drafting email and blog content about home maintenance and the inspection process
- Collecting and organizing client reviews and testimonials
- Light reporting on what is working: which posts, emails, and pages actually bring in inquiries
What we are looking for
- Clear writing and a good eye for a photo or a 30-second video
- Curiosity about how local businesses actually get customers
- Dependable and self-directed. We will give you real ownership, not a coffee run
- Marketing, communications, or business coursework is a plus but not required
